I hope you’re having a wonderful week.
I recently returned from an incredible scouting trip to Sardinia—a destination that has always been incredibly close to my heart, as my dad was stationed there during his army days. Getting to experience the island’s magic firsthand, while vetting the best it has to offer alongside industry colleagues and the expert local team at Sardinia My Way, was unforgettable.
If you are looking for a destination that seamlessly blends rugged mountain adventures, deep-rooted traditions, and pristine coastlines, Sardinia needs to be on your radar. Here are a few highlights and insider property recommendations from my time on the island:

☀️ Ultimate Luxury: Hand-Selected Resorts & Private Villa
From private estates to the island's most iconic luxury havens, I personally vetted the best ways to experience Sardinia:
The Private Villa Life: I spent a spectacular week experiencing "villa life" complete with breathtaking views, a glass of local Cannonau wine in hand, and a private chef turning every single meal into a culinary masterpiece.
Hotel Pitrizza: A legendary Costa Smeralda icon nestled amid granite rocks and lush gardens. It offers total seclusion on a private beach, a breathtaking saltwater pool carved right into the landscape, and incredible private villas with sea views.
La Tiara di Cervo: Perched high on the granite hillsides overlooking Marina di Porto Cervo, this brand-new address redefines "quiet luxury." It features just 26 residential-style Grand Suites with massive oceanfront terraces, blending untouched wild nature with five-star service.
L'Ea Bianca Luxury Resort: A contemporary 5-star boutique gem set in secluded gardens facing the Gulf of Arzachena. Every single room boasts a sea view, and it offers direct access to the coarse sands of Cala dei Ginepri beach.
Su Gologone Experience Hotel: Tucked between rugged mountains and the iconic coastline, this vibrant, colorful property is the ultimate anchor for a "split stay". It offers everything from kayaking and rock climbing to honey tastings and traditional lunches with local shepherds.
Petra Segreta Resort & Spa: Located in the serene hills of San Pantaleo, this gorgeous Virtuoso and Relais & Châteaux boutique gem is pure magic (and the saffron risotto I had here for lunch was out of this world!).
🌊 Unforgettable Moments on the Water
No trip to Sardinia is complete without experiencing its legendary coastline. We spent a spectacular day on a catamaran, and the vibrant, layered shades of blue were a total "WOW" moment.
🧵 Living History & Deep Traditions
Some of my favorite moments were spent going behind the scenes to witness centuries-old traditions being kept alive by hand:
A "Coricheddos" Masterclass: I had the privilege of learning how to craft these intricate, heart-shaped Sardinian wedding sweets. Filled with local honey, almonds, and citrus peel, they are intricately decorated with fine, lace-like dough embroidery—they are truly edible works of art!
Master Costume Embroidery: In the heart of Oliena, we watched a master embroiderer bring the village's legendary festive costumes to life, one meticulous, living-history stitch at a time.
Traditional Boot Making: Visited a local artisan workshop to see traditional leather boots crafted entirely by hand—built with the incredible grit needed to endure the rugged interior of the island.

Whether you are craving a relaxing luxury villa retreat, an active mountain-and-sea adventure, or a deep dive into rich Mediterranean culinary traditions, Sardinia checks every single box. I would love to use these fresh insights and local connections to design a bespoke Sardinian getaway just for you. Contact me to start planning your Sardinia adventure!
With passion and adventure,
