We went to Florence for the day on our Rome/Tuscany group trip we hosted. One of our highlights was going to the market and picking up some produce for the cooking class we did. We made homemade pasta with porcini mushrooms that we got at the market and tiramisu for dessert. The tiramisu was one of the best I have ever tasted!
Of course, the day would not be complete without going to see Michelangelo’s David in the Accademia Gallery. The sculpture is a marvel to look at, standing so tall when you are right in front of him. We took in all of the beautiful views and works of art this city has to offer.
